Short and long term assignments:
Settings vary from acute care hospital units to private corporate offices.
Projects usually last 1 to 4 months
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
Experience in any or all of the above areas
Demonstrate working knowledge in any of these areas: managed care, industrial / disability medicine, disease management, Medicare, and/or Medicaid, Pharmaceutical, Clinical Research
Ability to make appropriate clinical recommendations based upon industry accepted criteria and guidelines (i.e. Interqual, Milliman & Robertson, Presley Reed, NCQA, and HMO / IPA specific guidelines), JCAHO, NCQA, CQI, GCP, Core measures
Case management certification is a plus, BSN preferred
Ability to work independently with efficiency and accuracy
Proficiency with data entry/retrieval
Current CA RN licensure

Lorna Forbes.
Lorna Forbes is the Director of Medical Management. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Sacramento State University. Lorna first began working for DRG in May 1988. In 1992, she left DRG to become Social Services Manager for a VNA/Hospice in Washington State. Since her return to DRG in 1996, she has worked in the field in all arenas of Medical Social Work and has had long-term placements as a Case Manager for two Bay Area acute inpatient rehabilitation units. Lorna was Interim Social Services Director at DRG for four months in 2002, which prepared her for her current position as Director of Medical Management.
